Visa Information for delegates to IITC’s Treaty Conference, Hobbema, Ermineskin Maskawaciys Cree Nation, Treaty 6 First Nations Territory, Alberta Canada, August 3 through 7, 2005:

Delegates from countries outside North America may require visas to enter Canada, and if transiting the United States, may also require a transit visa from the respective US Consulate.

If you require a visa, either for Canada and/or to transit the US, or both, please inform us at

We will need to write you a personalized invitation letter, to present to the consulates for a visa. For this letter we will need the following information:

1. Name

2. Passport number, date of expiration;

3. Name of Indigenous Organization/Nation that you will be representing;

4. Address

5. Your Fax number, where you can receive the letter of invitation

6. Dates of travel, itinerary, and whether or not you will need a US Transit visa;

7. A brief description of your work or activity on behalf of Indigenous Peoples

Please please provide us this information us as soon as possible. As you are well aware, applying for a visa takes time.

Información sobre visas para delegados a la Conferencia del Consejo Internacional de Tratados Indios, Hobbema, Nación Cree Erminskin Maskwaciys, Primeras Naciones Territorio Tratado 6, Alberta, Canadá.

Es posible que se requieran visas para entrar a Candada desde su país de delegados a la conferencia, y si transitando los Estados Unidos hacia Canadá, visa de transito del Consulado Estadounidense respetivo.

Necesitaremos la siguiente información:

1. Nombre y país

2. Numero de pasaporte y fecha de vencimiento

3. Nombre de la Organización o Nación Indígena que representan

4. Dirección

5. Numero de Fax vigente, donde podrán recibir la invitación sin problema;

6. Fechas de viaje (itinerario) y si necesitaran visa de tránsito a los EEUU;

7. Breve informe de su trabajo o actividad a favor de los Pueblos Indígenas.

Rogamos que nos informe lo mas pronto posible. Ya saben, las visas, particularmente a los Estados Unidos o Canadá, toman tiempo.
